Prezi provides Student & Teacher Licenses which require you to sign up with your institutional email address.

Currently, the free Edu Enjoy account gives you 500MB of cloud storage, the option of making your Prezis private and of replacing the Prezi logo with your own logo.

The Very Short Guide to Getting Started

Here's the very short guide to creating a Prezi:

Sign up for a free Edu Enjoy account with your HKBU email.
Click the "New Prezi" button.
Select a Prezi template.
Once the template opens, add a title in the opening frame.
From the left sidebar, select the next frame and add text.
Insert an image, a YouTube video, a PDF document (and much more!).
Repeat.
When you have added all your content, click on "Present".

A Concise Prezi Glossary

The canvas is the empty, zoomable 3D space on which you present your ideas. It will take a background graphic (your own, or one from a template), plus all the individual frames which contain your content.

Although Prezi is loathe to use the word, frames are the equivalent of individual "slides". They hold your content as well as provide stopping points along your Prezi's path. They come in four styles: Bracket, Rectangle, Circle, and Invisible.

The path is the route on which you take your audience as you travel through the ideas in your Prezi. Zoom in to multiple frames, then zoom out...and pan across the canvas as you move from frame to frame.
