Printing & Copying (Shek Mun Campus Library)

Overview

  • ​Print quota (Follow-U-Print) is only available to eligible students.
  • Only black-and-white printing is available when using your print quota.
  • Only A4 paper size is available when using your print quota.
  • Single-sided printing by default.
  • Student print quotas are maintained by the Office of Information Technology (ITO) - please contact ITO if you have any questions or problems with your quota.

1.  Login workstation with BU SSOid and Password, then open the file you want to print.

                 

 

 


2.  Select "FYP on fup5-p.hkbu.edu.hk" in the printer options.

                   

 

 


3.  Go to a "Follow-U-Print" printer in the Shek Mun Campus Library, and tap your ID card.

              

 

 

 


4.  Select the "HKBU" icon on the control panel.

               

 

 

 


5.  Select your print job and press "Print".

              

 

 

 


6.  Press "Logout".

              

 

 

First-time Registration

First-time Registration

You will need to register your ID card when you use the Follow-U-Print service for the first time.

 

1.  Tap your ID card.

           

 

 


2.  Select the domain "hkbuad (hkbuad.local)", enter your SSOid and Password, and then press the "Register" button.

                                 

 


3.  When the registration is complete, tap your ID card again to login.

To check your print quota balance, please login to the Follow-U-Print webpage maintained by the Office of Information Technology at http://fup5-c.hkbu.edu.hk/AdminPortal/

If you need to add value to your print quota, please contact Library staff at the User Services Counter.

Remarks

  • Unattended print jobs will not only waste your print quota but also cause problems for other users.  The worst situation is that your document may be disclosed to the public.
  • Remember to properly protect your personal belongings when you leave your seat even for a short while for collecting your printout.
  • If you encounter paper jam, paper out, or toner issues, please contact the User Services Counter for assistance.
