Leganto Reading Lists: Step 1. Create Your List

With just a few simple steps, you can activate this powerful tool into your Moodle course and provide your students with easy access to essential readings.

1.Turn "Edit mode" on. 

2.Click "Add an activity or a resource".  

3.Select "Leganto Reading Lists". 

Create a Reading List from Moodle

Step 1: Create your Leganto Reading Lists 

Once your Leganto Reading Lists link is set up, you can begin creating your reading list.

1. The first time you click on the Leganto Reading List link, it will ask if you want to create a new list or select an existing one.  

2. Select "Create new list" to create your course reading list. 

Organize your list

Tips: Using sections to keep everything organized in your list

You can:

  • Categorize resources by module, topic or week to suit your needs.
  • Easily add, reorder, or remove sections to keep your list current and user-friendly.

Add a new section

1. Click on the "+Add" Button

2. Choose "New section" to open Add new section sidebar.

3. Add a section title and description. You can also specify a visible date range for students to view the section. Decide the position of the new section. 

4. Click "Add". A new section will be created.

 

Edit a section

1. Click on the three dots to open the section menu.

The section menu includes various actions you can choose to edit the section:

  • Edit section: Change the name and the description of a section. Set a visible date range for the section.
  • Select all items: Select all items in a section to edit them in bulk e.g. delete, add tag and notes etc.
  • Indent section: Add an indent to sections. Indentations can only be applied to one level.
  • Copy section: Duplicate a section and add it to another reading list.
  • Export section: Various export options are available for exporting item information in a section. 
  • Print section: A printable version of your section.
  • Delete section: Delete a section and all items in it.
