Request Library Instruction Sessions for your Courses

HKBU librarians provide instruction sessions at the request of faculty. Below are some examples of what we offer. Make your own requests using this online form.

Orientations

Librarians go beyond PowerPoint! Below is an example of an orientation created using Prezi. Wherever appropriate, librarians will make use of e-learning technologies to enhance their pedagogy.
 

Course-integrated instruction

We provide information literacy instruction sessions tailored to fit the needs of the course. For example, students of a General Education course about the history of public health in China needed to be able to access primary sources relevant to their research topic. The librarian involved prepared the customized presentation below to introduce key primary source databases.

Librarians will work closely with you to determine how best they can support your students in achieving the intended learning outcomes of your course.
